Daniel started with Beca AMEC in 2007 as a process engineer, based in Melbourne, Australia. Since then, his role has evolved to Project Manager overseeing a variety of forestry-related capital and upgrade projects.
Prior to joining Beca AMEC, Daniel spent a number of years in research and manufacturing. For four years he was a Paper Engineering Researcher at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and for three years he worked for SCA Tissue Paper Mill in Saint Joan de Mediona, Spain.
Since joining Beca AMEC, Daniel has been involved in a variety of engineering projects for pulp and paper clients. He recently conducted a feasibility study to treat/re-use grits and dregs for a kraft pulp mill chemical recovery process. He was also involved in designing an upgrade for a new waste water treatment system at an integrated paper mill.
Daniel firmly believes Beca AMEC’s strength lies in its people. “I enjoy interacting with our people who come from a variety of disciplines,” he says. “While at times this can be challenging, in the long run the project outcomes are very rewarding. The great people make this company what it is today.”
